Tembo Cardigan Pattern

Simple but dramatic, this cardigan will be a real staple in your wardrobe. The large garter stitch pockets and I-cord buttonholes create a dramatic focal point. The long length of the cardigan is enhanced with smooth waist shaping and a large garter stitch shawl collar.
Knit from the bottom up in one piece, shoulders are joined using a three needle bind off and the back of the collar is grafted for a seamless finish. Set-in sleeves are worked from the top down using short rows.

Needles & Notions
2 Size 10 US / 6 mm circular needle, 32" / 80 cm length
(Size 10 US / 6 mm dpns if not using magic loop)
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Stitch markers, tapestry needle, 5 buttons approx 1.25" / 30 mm diam.

GAUGE
15 sts and 21 rows = 4" / 10 cm in St St.
15 sts and 28 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Garter St.
