wholsalepatterns

I got my first 2 boxes of printed patterns yesterday, it’s very exciting!  Both of them are for my Fyberspates Patterns, Centrique and Trilo.  I love seeing the patterns printed up, they feel so substantial.

I’ve just sent out a big stack of packages to shops in Ireland and the UK full of patterns.  If you’ve orderd some you should have them very shortly.  If you are interested in ordering these two patterns for your shop just send me an email carol AT stolenstitches DOT com.

There should be a couple more Scrumptious patterns in the coming months that I’ll also get printed up so soon we’ll have a great collection of patterns out there.

Waiting for blocking….

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

I collected the Fyberspates shawl from Sue this afternoon.  It was soaked and now it is pinned out on my ‘blocking board’ and stretched out as far as those fibers will go.  Please don’t take too much notice of my rather colourful blocking board.  I have a table in my office that I use for my blocking, it is covered in childrens bright foam number blocks.  They work great for blocking but don’t make for very attractive photos!

This larger version of the Centrique shawl is knit with Scrumptious DK Gold yarn and it takes less than 2 x 1oog hanks and after my very generous blocking is about 54 inches wide and 25 inches long down the spine.  That should retract a little in size once it is off the blocking board.

I should have the patterns taken and the shawl up for sale in a week or so.

I’ve also got another suprise.  I am planning on putting some of my existing lace patterns (and some new ones) together in an ebooklet at a reduced price.  Just waiting for Ravelry to get the ebook in their system and I should be able to share more details.  Very exciting!

Centrique shawl

A few months ago I got a hank of Sea Wool to experiment with. I knit a small swatch with it for a submission to a magazine and then I went to put the rest of it away on the shelf. But I couldn’t! I enjoyed knitting it so much I wanted to keep going so this shawlette is the result.

It is a simple lace shawl, but it’s fun to knit and I’m finding it very useful.  At the moment Sue is finishing a larger version in Fyberspates Scrumptious DK (a lovely gold) and I should have photos of that shortly.  It is so cosy you just want to wrap yourself in it and never take it off!

In the next few weeks the tech editing on this should be done and I can finishing putting the pdf together so you can all enjoy!  If you want to make sure you don’t miss the release of the pattern make sure you are signed up to my twitter account Stolen Stitches to get the update.
